Society leads us to believe that perfection is what makes us worthy.

Social media, magazines, tv, etc. tend to show you an image of the perfect life or lifestyle. But behind the lens is usually a completely different scenario.

You may see a perfectly clean house but what you did not see was the pile of dirty laundry piled up in the corner that was cropped out of the photo before it was post on Facebook.

You see a beautiful model on the cover of the magazine, but what you do not see are the scars under that makeup. Or her hair really isn’t her hair. Or the hundred if not thousands of dollars spent on fillers to make her lips look full and big. Or the countless times she has battled bulimia to make herself that skinny.

Galatians 5:16-17 says, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”

When we strive for perfection, we end up hurting ourselves and possibly others.

It can sometimes even lead to depression, anxiety and stress. However, imperfection gives us the opportunity to grow and be made more and more like Christ.

2 Corinthians 12:10, says “For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
The Bible also says in Titus 2:11, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.”

Supernatural reliance is us relying on God to do what only He can do.

God can renew us. He will meet us when we’re down and out.

God will meet you right where you are. He will help you get back up and move forward. The Lord will open doors to supply your soul with healing and wisdom.

Faith Tabernacle is one of those doors.

You may fear making mistakes, or that you’re not good enough. Maybe you fear failure. Perhaps you compare yourself to others. But God’s amazing and unfailing love is FOR YOU no matter who you are or where you are.

Faith Tabernacle is a church that exemplifies God’s love. God wants to use your strengths to serve, work, impact, and prosper. All you have to be is willing and available.

God can use your personal strengths or talents to elevate and improve someone else’s life in an area where they may be struggling.

About 2 years ago my youngest daughter was having anxiety/panic attacks. My husband and I were trying so hard to reassure her. We told her not to fear,  that we would always be there for her and God would, too. However, no matter how much we reassured her, she continued to have them.

I felt like such a terrible mother! Like I was completely failing her. How could my child have so much fear to where I couldn’t comfort her? Did I place this fear inside her somehow?

It wasn’t until we decided as a family to have nightly prayers before bedtime that the panic attacks went away. I realized that I was not failing as a mother, but God was teaching me how to become an even better mother and build my relationship with my children on a spiritual level.

Now, our daughter reminds us every night that we have to pray. She never, ever forgets no matter what we have going on.

God has truly blessed me with some amazing kiddos.

If we were all perfect, then God would have nothing to perfect.  Did you know that God is a source of our strength and the force that enables us to grow?

As Hillsong says in their song, Broken Vessels, “You take our failure You take our weakness You set your treasure In jars of clay So take this heart Lord I'll be your vessel The world to see Your life in me.”

Did you know that your brokenness can connect you to others and help bring them to Christ?

Did you know that God is looking for imperfection?

Did you know that God is looking for someone who has become nothing so he can become everything?

“My Grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
- 2 Corinthians 12:9.

God can redeem you and transform you into His image to magnify His grace.

I love a quote that says, “Anyone can give up; it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone would expect you to fall apart, that’s true strength.” (Chris Bradford)

Don't give up! Don't throw in the towel just yet!

I encourage you to read your Bible, pray every day, and call on the name of Jesus to help you and give you strength like only God can.

God is the source of our strength. All you have to do is call out to Him in your moments of weakness and let His awesome power carry you through some of life's most difficult moments.

Let’s grow together.
